Review content:
My wife & I recently returned from visiting family in Thailand and have tried out many of the Houston Thai restaurants. The Tom Khai Gai and Tom Yum Goong (citris chicken soup & coconut shrimp soups, respectively) are about as close to Thailand as we can find, especially the chicken soup (extremely deliciious). My one beef is that Americans have come to expect Pad Thai to be this peanut-buttery, yellow/orange dish. Pad thai is generally pretty heavy in fish/oyster/tamarind sauce, which you will find in their Larb Gai (ground chicken salad) which is also very authentic and very good. I would recommend their Spicy Catfish to those who like fish and the chicken soup to anybody. I'd hate to see a great Thai restaurant in the area go out of business based on a couple reviews. Try it out, and I guarantee you'll find something different and something you like. You will see a lot of to-go business, which I assume is because the atmosphere is quiet & relaxed, with service to match. Don't expect a rushed meal here. Pros: Authentic, Delicious Tom Kha Gai Cons: Americanized Pad Thai
