Review content:
We are repeat customers at Pepino's. It's a nice quiet restaurant, the food is good (a little pricey $16.95 for a chicken breast in mushroom sauce). Anyway let me complain about NYE - We made reservations for NYE. I asked if there was a special menu. ""NO"" was the answer. Can we bring our own wine ""YES - $4 or $5 corkage fee."" We arrive and are seated and we are told there is a special menu and the kitchen is closed to other requests. We explain that we were told otherwise and after much arguing we left the restaurant to end up at Divino a few blocks away.\r
We felt slighted by Pepino's lack of customer service. Although we have eaten there again this last time we were shocked at our bill even when we brought our own wine. Josephine's downtown and Divino are a little better atmosphere and I don't mind spending some coin there.
Pros: Quiet and romantic
Cons: Service is sketchy... what does that lady do? Polish silverware all night?
