I went with another couple to Fork Restaurant in San Anselmo. I ordered the 5 course meal at $59. It seemed like an hour plus passed between the starter and first course. (We were the only occupied table in the front room). I ordered a bottle of gevrey chambertin. After a 3 hour meal we paid the bill and left.\r \r I got a call from one of the owners at Fork a day later who told me that they had forgotten to bill me for the wine. I said ok. He said it was $120 for the Nuits St. George. I said I ordered the gevrey chambertin that was $60. He said the server showed you the bottle. And that this bottle was about 10% of the revenue for that night and that I should support a local restaurant so that I don't have to drive to the City. I said ""I do. I go to Bistro 330.\r \r Then I said ""OK, you decide what the right thing is and charge my credit card. The 'right thing' turned out to be charging me the $120 and giving me a $60 gift certificate.\r \r Since Fork is about 5 minutes from our house in Ross, he COULD have had a customer for life. Now I won't be back. (Oh and the meat courses were seriously over salted IMHO). Pros: Has a parking lot right next door
