The fact that the “general manager” hung-up on me after I called to complain about the bleeding and having clear pus not even 24 hours later, is the reason why I created this profile, to be able to leave a comment. The receptionist (male) and the “general manager” were extremely rude, and the manager’s solution was to tell me that he couldn’t provide me with medical advice, and hung up. Guess he’s right; he’s by far able to provide medical advice, when he can’t even provide a sanitized environment and competent nail technicians. Oh, and of course this business has been reported to the Better Business Bureau, and has had other complaints about sanitation; if only I’d known before this experience!\r Of course with a great first visit and being close to home, I decided to go for the second visit three weeks later for removal of shellac and new manicure. I arrived on a Thursday around 5:15, and there was only one other customer in the manicure area getting service. The nail technician I got was very inexperience and was obvious she didn’t know what she was doing. She cut down my nails to a good length, but then filed down my nail to almost nothing, literally to the skin!! When it came time to apply the shellac (gel), she applied thick coats and the white tip was extremely thick, bumpy, and full of bubbles. To fix the gel she got the cuticle clipper and began clipping more of my nail, skin around my nail, and then used her own nail to push skin under the nail. I kept pulling my hand away letting her know that she was hurting me, she kept on replying that she was fixing it. One of the other employees realized what was going on and went to get the manager (male), he then asked me to move to another station to get my nails “fixed”. The technician tried her best to fix what was left of my natural nails and the shellac, but it still looks horrendous!! When I paid and was ready to leave, I was handed an envelope with a $5 gift certificate for my next visit!!RIDICULOUS!! It was then 7:25 (2hrs for a shellac manicure that should not take longer than an hour)! NEVER, NEVER in the last ten years of experience in nail salons have I had bleeding nails, pus, or infection. They are very incompetent, rude, and CHEAP!! They don’t care about the services they render, much less charging you for it. Needless to say I ended up with tiny nails, a HORRIBLE shellac manicure, swollen fingers, and an infected finger/nail!! Going back to Galleria Nails, where it may not be “fancy” but the service is great, but most of all I get to keep my nails healthy, along with a professional shellac manicure!! Save your time, money, and nails from infections; don’t invest in their “fancy” for nothing atmosphere, it’s all for appearance.\r
