Review content:
As an avid movie fan I believe that the movie going experience should be more than just shelling out $30 for 2 tickets and snacks (anyone else remember when it was half that?) and sitting through the film. The Movies at Briar Creek fails in this respect, but only because the place was poorly planned.\r

There is never enough parking. It shares it's lot with the shopping village around it, thus there are rarely enough spots. The concessions are never adequately staffed - one must often wait an additional 20 minutes to get concessions, and that doesn't work if you're in a hurry. The staff is marginally friendly - but what do I expect from kids barely beating minimum wage? Perhaps my biggest issue with the theater is that you cannot purchase tickets online for their shows.\r
\r
On the plus side, the theater management does a good job of maintaining cleanliness in both the theaters and the restrooms, and there is a nice birthday room for children's parties. The lobby is broad and spacious, and allows for multiple film lines to back up with plenty of room. The concessions themselves are OK - nothing spectacular, but then they're not trying to be.\r
\r
My advice - if you have children, this is a great atmosphere. The teenagers avoid it because of the 18+ age restriction on R films, and there's generally a nicer crowd of people in and around Briar Creek. If you're looking for a date movie spot, this is also a decent place, although I would recommend the fun of the Raleighwood myself.\r
Pros: Children's party room, spacious interior and seating
Cons: Parking woes, no online ticketing
