Review content:
I've been looking for a couple of pistols to add to my collection while trimming down some of the fat.
I took a bunch with me around town to have them appraised for trade in value towards guns in stock.
At Ron's, one guy showed me some pistols, one guy explained their trade in policy, and another guy valued the guns I brought in.
Ron's low balled me like I couldn't believe. Half to a third less than any other store I went into, seemed more like a pawn shop than a gun shop in terms of trade in value.
At some places I got two values, trade and selling it to them. Ron's was generally equivalent to what I would get if I tried to just sell them to any other store. I did ask to make sure I was getting a trade in quote.
I also noticed their pistol prices are relatively higher.
Maybe they thought I was uneducated or retarded when it comes to firearms.
Or maybe it's the economy and everyone is selling or trading their guns instead of buying.
I don't think Ron's is a bad place. I just know there are a lot better places to go where you will get more bang for your trade in and prices are better. So I know I won't ever do business here.
The customer service is pretty standard to any gun shop I've ever been in. Their selection of used guns is great, new guns not so great (why I'm thinking they would offer me so little, they don't need any more used guns, even though mine have never been out of their boxes).
So I chose the 1 star of ""EH"" rather than anything more than that which says it's ""good.""
