One of my favorite things about living in San Diego are the beautiful Resorts in the area available to the locals. Estancia is one of my favorites. I have been here a couple of times and had a better experience when I came during a week night. My Sat appointment-I came for a massage and a pedicure. The spa itself is beautiful-but small. There were alot of people there on Sat and I didn't really get that ahh in spa feeling that day. Understandably so, I suppose it's always busy on a weekend. The locker rooms were slightly a mess, and the relaxation lounge was crowded. However, my Tues night appointment was amazing. I came here to celebrate a friends birthday. I guess because it was a week night, we basically had the entire spa to ourselves. We both had a massage in their garden area-which is such an amazing experience. We then sat around their outdoor relaxing lounge with a fireplace. We enjoyed their eucalyptus steam room. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. My massage therapist-Erin, is the best! She was very intuitive, used just the right amount pressure. It was thoroughly relaxing yet therapeutic at the same time. Felt like a new woman after the massage. I highly recommend her. My friend had Ed, and she told me it was one of the best massages, she has ever had. I really love this Spa. It's close to home, yet makes you feel like you are in another destination. It is a small, cozy spa and I highly recommend coming here on a weeknight rather than a weekend.
