I had booked my first vacation in 3 years and THANK HEAVENI booked with a travel agent. My trip fell the week that Delta Airline took over Northwest Airline (I hate airlines due to their monopoly and control over consumers!) my flights were scheduled with Delta. Apparently Delta had overbooked their flights and were extremely disorganized and had so many people flightless that day...there was literally tons of people sitting all over the floor and even news stations were called, it was just a mess! Delta offered vouchers but it was a first come first serve basis to rebook. I was referred to wait in a line out the door. I called my travel agent for help in a panic state and was immediately helped. She rebooked me on another airline and had Delta reimburse my money and I made it to my destination same day!! I don't think many of the other passengers in my situation had such luck. So worth it to be carefree on your vacation and know someone is there for you! My family has booked with them for years and they will always have my business!!
