This past weekend my son was getting married. I had made my appointment with Christine to get my hair styled for the wedding. Not an updo just a styling. First when I went to schedule the appointment face to face while in the mall the front counter assistant ignored me. I was standing there and standing there....there were about 4 other individuals that were employees behind the counter cutting up with each other. I finally had to ask for assistance. I told them what I needed . She continued to say that I would need to pay $25.00 in advance for an updo. My hair is short. I told her my hair was too short and I was not interested in an updo. She continued to say I needed to pay the money in advance for an updo. Don't get me wrong I have spent a great deal of money at this salon and have no problem paying for services but this was ridiculous. She was not listening to me at all. Finally I said please just make me an appointment with Christine for a style . \r
On the day of the wedding I was running late by about 5-10 minutes because of a last minute incident that had to be handled. When I arrived at the salon I explained the problem and confirmed I realized I was late. The front desk person (a different one) stood there and looked at me like a deer in the headlights and said Christine has another customer in her chair. I said okay? She said okay back to me. I asked what could be done and she said she has customers. She made no attempt to talk to Christine or say let me see what we can do....nothing... So I said okay and walked away. I was furious, so upset, if I had not been so stressed about the wedding and everything going on I should have walked in and found Christine. Meanwhile my sister came to me and asked what was going on? She went to talk to them and the same idiot just shook her head and said okay. I went back and told them that they had ruined this day for me by their lack of concern and customer service. She just said okay. I will never grace that salon again despite the fact that I love Christine. My sister steered me to JC Pennys in the mall I was crying and upset . They were great!!! Took me right in , calmed me down and did a fabulous job. The Assistant Manager at Visible changes called to find out what happened and said if I could come back today they would work me in???? I was already taken care of by JC Penny. Visible changes is not the only place to get your hair done in the mall. It is ashame that good stylists loose business because of stupid counter clerks and lack of customer service. Need to rethink hiring practices. The counter clerks are you first impression to the public and a poor one at that.
Pros: Christine is a great stylist.
