Review content:
I'm in my mid 30's and my hair is slowly starting to thin. This was starting to frustrate me because most stylists either try and convince me to shave my head or get a military cut or they try and sell me on a bunch of gels, creams, shampoos, ect. that is either supposed to magically regrow my hair or that's supposed to make it look like I've got more hair. \r \r I went to Leepin' Lizards and had my hair styled by Donna Brown. My hair's still about 80% there (compared to my teens) and at 35 years old I still want a rock n roll style cut. My favorite hair style is a rockabilly pompadour (early Elvis style) and this requires that I have a lot of hair to comb up and pile on my head (like the band, The Straycats.) \r \r When I told Donna what I wanted to do with my hairstyle, she said ""no problem!"" She didn't try and get me to go with a shaved down style and she didn't try and sell me a bunch of products that either don't work or that I don't need.\r \r She cut my hair into a perfect pompadour and it's hardly even noticeable that my hair is even thinning. I've already had a few people that I run into on a regular basis (grocery store cashier, coffee shop barista, doorman at the nightclub, ect.) comment that my hair looks really cool.\r \r Donna also colored my hair (blonder) which made it really tough to see my scalp through the thinner parts (normally, that's a problem for me.)\r \r All in all the experience was very cool and I'm not planning on ever going anywhere else because I've FINALLY found a hairstylist who can work with problem hair and still make me look more rock n roll !\r \r Also, the salon reminds me of the new wave salons of the 1980s (decor and the music they're playing) and Donna's obviously still in touch with the alternative music scene and she can do any of the latest cuts that I've seen on college rock bands nowadays. I'm very sold on Leepin' Lizards and on having Donna as my hairstylist. Pros: Great music, cool salon and works magic with thinning hair!
