Review content:
I've purchased several computers from Best Buy and I have always been disappointed. I can't complain about the price or the sales reps, my complaint is with the Geek Squad's policies on customer service. I have always purchased the Geek Squad plan (for my last two computers) but I cannot get phone assistance from the Newport News Geek Squad. I am referred to their national help desk where I will be billed big bucks. WAKE UP, that is why I purchased the plan. Driving down to Newport News every time my Gateway (don't purchase the Gateways) is very inconvenient. I purchased Turbo Tax from the store this morning and the computer will not recognize the disc, a problem I had encountered twice before with this computer. It was a simple operation to fix both times I brought it in previously. \r \r Having just visited the store I did not want to pull the computer out again (Feb was the 4th time I had to drive it in since Nov 06). The young man that answered was polite but was steadfast that it was policy not to assist customers over the phone. If that is the support I have slowly grown to accept them then I am disappointed in myself as much as Best Buy and the Geek Squad. Since I cannot divorce myself from myself I am saying ""GOOD BY"" to Best Buy. My next two computers will be Macs and I am purchasing them from the Apple Store next month.\r \r Pros: Pricing, selection and sales force. Cons: Geek Squad's service
