Review content:
I had a bad experience here last year but I was in the mall last week and desperately need to get my nails done. So I went back to get a full set acrylic. The receptionist was very nice and offered me something to drink.
There was 5 employees just sitting around on the pedicure spa chairs. They were speaking very loudly, eating, on their laptops, and watching TV. So when the receptionist told one of the employees that I was wanting a service. No one moved.. they looked at each other and started speaking very loudly at one another in Vietnamese and then the guy stood up, didn't look at me, and went to the station to get out his supplies. Once he got out his supplies he didn't get up or greet me,he tapped the table with the nail polish indicating for me to come over.
Once I was in his chair, I tried to make small talk to offset the awkwardness but I soon realized that was a bad idea because he just ignored me.
Sitting there I was looking around and a lot of their supplies were not sanitized. Their implements were not in their proper containers, some were laying out on the tables and they had nail dust and what looked like dead cuticle skin all over them and the table. I asked the guy about it he didn't reply. He just pulled my hand closer to him and continued to work.
I am a Cosmetology educator so I know a thing or two about nails and the TDLR sanitation laws. The guy took 4 hours on my nails. He kept reapplying the acrylic numerous times and drilled my fingernails raw. I had a few cuts on my fingers and he also left my nails ( bumpy) because he didn't buff my acrylic before applying the polish and just painted over them 6 times to make them appear smooth. I was tired and my nails were sore from all the drilling. I just paid and left. A day later, yellow/green dots started to appear on my nails. Right away I went to another nail shop to get them removed and reapplied. I will never go back!!!!!!!! I will also write TDLR about this nail salon.
