Review content:
Mr. Rudy Cortez at Vehicle Inspection Station 2P36226, located in Seabrook, Texas, failed my daughters car based on the brake fluid being low in the master cylinder, and said in needed new brake shoes. Said he would put fluid in for free if she would pay $220.00+tax for a brake job.\r
\r
My daughter brought the vehicle to my home and I checked the total brake system out. The brake fluid, master cylinder, pads and rotors all were in good condition.\r
\r
Because Mr. Cortez had already failed the vehicle, over 18 miles from my home, I considered it hopeless to send her back to him.\r
\r
I had my daughter take the vehicle to Mr. William Clark at Vehicle Inspection Station 2P22713 in Santa Fe, Texas. Mr Williams re-inspected the vehicle, found no violations, and issued a current safety sticker.\r
\r
I feel that Mr. Cortez was in error when he declared the vehicle in violation of DOT standards, and Nasa Lube Express Texaco should refund the $39.75 that was taken from my daughter. I have attempted to contact Nasa Lube Express Texaco but only get an answering machine. At this point I have not received a return call.\r
\r
My daughter is 5 months pregnant and the day was about 92 deg and humid. I wonder why Mr. Cortez didn't just put brake fluid in the cylinder like Mr. Williams did? Guess he just isn't a gentleman!\r
\r
The Texas State inspection office told me a car could not be failed on the condition of the pads even if they are squealing. If the car stops in the required distance, it has passed the brake test.\r
\r
Beware ladies, it appears Rudy will take unfair advantage of you!\r
