Businiess name:  Duke's Tailor

Review content:
If I can pass only one nugget of information gleaned from my wedding planning experience, it would be DON'T TAKE YOUR WEDDING GOWN to Duke's tailor's. \r I took my expensive gown to Duke's Tailors on Creedmoor. The tailor pinned my dress at the hem, which was slightly too long, and the sides of the skirt, which were slightly too wide. She also suggested we take in the chest a slight amount - she insisted it was no big deal and would be easy to fix. \r 2 1/2 weeks later I got a call from Anna quoting the fee at $280. I was SHOCKED!! Their website listed wedding gown alterations as: $35 for sides $60 for hem. (Since then, Anna has removed most all of the prices).\r After I objected to the fee (my dress had NO detail, thus no complications, on the skirt sides or hem), Anna dropped the price to $150 (i told her not to work on the so-called ""easy"" chest). BTW - She also quoted me $100 for pressing. My new tailor is only charging $40.\r After realizing that Anna was SERIOUSLY inflating prices, I called the next day and asked for an estimate on a ballroom bustle. Anna flat out refused to give me an estimate and suggested I go elsewhere if I ""was going to give her this trouble."" I gladly agreed.\r I found numerous mistakes when i went to pick up my gown. I thought, based on these other reviews, that they would at least do a professional job! Not!\r The hem on my gown was too short (several inches off the floor) and they had also forgotten to hem the inside slip, so it was long. Also, the skirt was still too big. The old lady said she could fix it but I did not trust them after this awful experience & I had already made another appt. with a competent tailor who had no problem quoting prices.\r when I called Anna, to try to settle the dispute, she refused to let me speak and hung up on me. She actually said I WAS THE PROBLEM. DON'T let Anna's reply to this review DISCOUNT THE TRUTH.\r The ONLY 2 ""PROBLEMS"" I posed were: a) objecting to being overcharged and b) requesting an estimate. Cons: big errors on your wedding gown, rude service, unprofessional work, unfinished alterations
