In the ski / outdoor gear world, I feel like your choices come down all too often to the mega store with decent pricing but a bunch of people hawking the stuff that have no idea or over priced specialty stores where the people are very knowledgable but you pay through the nose.\r
CD Ski and Sports in Grapevine is a happy medium. \r

They have a good selection and good prices while also having people there that can't point you in the right direction and give good advice. They also have a good tech there that does ski tunes and actually takes care of your skis.\r

I know they have a good selection of summer and wake boarding stuff when the season turns over but I usually go there more in the winter to get geared of for the powder.
Pros: Knowledgeable while still having good prices
