I had gone with a couple of friends to happy hour on a friday afternoon. I liked it because the place was not generational there was a bar area as well as a restaurant area. The Bar area had all sorts of people ranging in ages from 20's to 50's and it was all fine and dandy. There was a cover band playing mostly Rock in Espa?ol, and some Alternative and Classic Rock hits. It is mellow yet can get loud when a great song plays! The Restaurant is open while the music plays so you can be there with your family and have the music playing all along. The food was fabulous presentation and ALL!! I have been to many mexican restaurants throughout San Diego and this one proves to be the best overall experience. The restaurant is set in and almost ""Old Mexico"" kind of theme. Looking around takes you back in time to the Era of Frida Kahlo and her very Mexican Staple. It is very warm in colors and the ambience proves to be very inviting. This is a real GEM in the heart of Chula Vista. A definitive choice for GREAT Authentic Mexican Food. Pros: Great Music, Great Food, Friendly Service, Extensive Parking, Great Drinks! Cons: A little loud at times, not ideal for very small children.
