Review content:
I am a 36 year old professional that works in the financial district. I recently moved to San Francisco from the east bay because I got sick of the commute. I have always gone to Aveda salons, and recently tried to find a new one in the city. I first went to one downtown, and it was your regular big, downtown salon. The thing that turned me off was that everyone working there was very young, like the kids you see hanging out in the mission and the marina. I travel a lot for business, meeting with clients. I have always had trouble getting younger hairdresssers to understand the look that I need: current yet professional. I went to treat and had my hair cut by Natasha. She was still youthful, but it turns out that she has been doing hair for 17 years. She gave me a new look that I love, yet it will not raise any eyebrows when I walk into a meeting. After talking with her, I found out that she is on Aveda's editorial team, and travels frquently teaching for them. I loved that she was so current with her own field, yet gave me something that I was comfortable with. The best part was that I got to lay down on a bed to get my hair washed, and she gave me a hand and foot rub with hot towels during it. Her blowdry was excellent also. It was nice to give me a blowout, rather than trying to flat iron me as all hairdressers seem to want to do these days. Pros: Great cut and blowdry
