Businiess name:  Cali Sandwich & Fast Food

Review content:
Sure, sure, the $2 grilled pork sandwiches are the best in Houston, but there is so much else at Cali's to enjoy! The noodle bowls (vermicelli, grilled meat, lettuce, cucumber and other goodies) are irresistible. Very clean and crispy taste, very filling, low calories. (Numbers 10, 11, 12 or so on the menu.) They come with dipping sauce, which I simply dump into the bowl along with an extra squirt of the red Sricha chili sauce. The Vietnamese fried eggrolls are fabulous, and this restaurant doesn't skimp on the cilantro, mint and basil accompaniments. For meat eaters, Bo Luc Lac is the dish to order. The food here is far and away of better quality--and much cheaper--than the Kim Son chain. (But stick to the Vietnamese dishes - the Chinese fare is only so-so.) Pros: Inexpensive, Very good value
