Review content:
We were at Nacoochee Grill tonight, & had called to make reservations for 7:30 when we arrived they could not find our reservations on the list. We arrived at 7:15, we did not leave until 9:30. After waiting about 30minutes we were finally seated. Then seemed to be ignored for more than 20more minutes before someone asked us if we would like to order our drinks. At that point we were ready to walk out but had heard good things about the food so we stayed. Once they started waiting on us it still was rather slow. They did not appear to be that busy, but possibly under-staffed. The food was mediocre, so if your planning on driving up from Atlanta I wouldnt waste my time, unless your planning on staying over in Helen. We ordered a duck quesadilla, tasty and my husband ordered the veal meatloaf which was good, but again not worth that wait. The side items were nothing special, the cheese grits were a bit runny and not very cheesy. The trout was good and moist, the spinach and potatoes were bland as well. Nothing special. I would not recommend it.\r Parking was not that great either. Pros: they keep your drinks refilled. Cons: waits are loooooooooooooong. not great parking.
