Businiess name:  Chile Verde Cafe

Review content:
I've been going to Chile Verde for nearly 3 years as they're one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Columbus. On Cinco de Mayo I made a reservation for me and my special gal. When we arrived the place was crowded with people standing all over the place, it was obvious they were incredibly busy, which is to be expected on Cinco de Mayo. After the hostess greeted me I informed her I had a reservation for 6:30, she asked my name and then proceeded to locate it in the book. It was there. She then informed me my wait would be roughly 1 hour and 30 minutes. ""But you just crossed my name off the reservation list"", I exclaimed. She then told me that they don't have ""Reservations"" for parties of 2, they are considered ""call aheads"". However, when I called in to make my ""reservation"" I was not told it was a pretend reservation because I only had 2 people. I was led to believe that I did in fact have a reservation. They couldn't have been any less understanding or accommodating, they truly didn't care at all that I had been told I had a reservation. Anyway, by then it was too late and waits were 1 hour+ everywhere else, too. We ended up going to Chipotle and it was delicious :) I understand Chile Verde's situation was tough and the booth occupied by 2 people would spend less $ than a booth occupied by 4 or 5. It's a free market they made their choice. I too, will make mine; I will never again spend my hard earned money on Chile Verde's over-priced Chicken Fajitas!
