I made my first appointment at Janet Rufin's parlor based on the reviews of citysearch - and I have to say I was not disappointed! Janet is truly an amazing stylist. I have been to many salons in NYC and none have compared to the service provided by Janet. The haircut she gave me was amazing, the best ever! The highlights were exactly what I wanted - very subtle and natural. She took her time to analyze my hair and see what worked best with my face and coloring. The salon itself is bright, beautiful and in an extremely relaxed atmosphere. All of the staff is very accomodating and pleasant. I have been back to Janet 3 times and have left extremely happy each time! I definitely recommend Janet and her Parlor.
Pros: Experience, atmosphere
Cons: slightly pricey, but well worth it!
