Food was very good, Bryan Caswell is a great chef, and Bill Floyd his partner is enjoyable and walks the floor to be sure things are going well. But all is not going well...... Although the food was very good, even after a few months to shake out the service, the service is not attentive, nor good. I poured wine for my table, had to repeatedly request water service. Cute waitress, but appears to have been poorly trained as she was not spread thinly over many tables. The concept here is not gourmet, but moderately upscale, they've surpassed this goal in the food, but not the ambiance. I found the former car dealership show room to be too bright, too open, and much too loud!\r \r Some great positives, the wine selection is well thought out, having wines for the afficianados, and for the Cakebread crowd. Wine prices were exceptional, much like Ibiza, about retail. The first bottle of white wine that we ordered was far too cold, too cold to taste the wonderful fruit, and we had to wait to enjoy the wine until it warmed. The red wine we ordered arrived at an appropriate temperature, and went well with our meal. Our meal of soft shell crab (about to be out of season) was delicious followed by a delicious scallop plate.\r \r Ambiance again, is a problem, upscale cafeteria, is how my guest described it, they need something to baffle the loud noise. The cement floors and no-table cloth 4-top tables don't abate the noise, but it needs help. This is a restaurant designed for the mid town crowd, but the crowd that ate here was mostly 40 to 60, and some inappropriately dressed (shorts!). This has great potential, as the food has to carry the place, but unless they make some quick changes to the service expectations of their waitstaff, it will not be here next year. I'll try again, but it won't be for months. If there had been good service, I'd be back this week.\r \r Contrary to other reviews, the food prices are extremely reasonable and are at their price point. Pros: wine list, food Cons: ambiance, service, noise
