Businiess name:  Miel Patisserie

Review content:
Miel is the best of the best pure and simple. Their lemon tart is incredible and a definite crowd pleasure -- it's always a success whenever I bring it as a hostess gift or to a party. \r \r I am always impressed with the friendly counter service and the quality of the goods. The prices are reasonable considering the quality and Center City location. You can pay far more and receive far less from many other bakery/cafes.\r \r Miel provided the cake for my July 16 wedding at the Ballroom at the Ben, and it was absolutely gorgeous. The cake itself was delicious. People who normally hate wedding cake all remarked that it was moist and flavorful. We ordered the Elegance design (using buttercream icing, not fondant) in the lemon-almond pound cake flavor. The filling was raspberry jam with fresh raspberries and vanilla buttercream icing. The buttercream had a rich, velvety butter taste and texture without being too heavy. It melted in your mouth. The sweetness of the raspberries perfectly balanced the tartness of the light lemon cake. \r \r The bakery itself delivered the cake precisely on time and set it up exactly as we requested. We had a free cake tasting prior to placing our order, and they were very accommodating (they even served me Illy coffee while I tasted the samples). The sales staff were friendly and not pretentious in the least, and I had a very positive experience. Pros: Fabulous wedding cakes, flaky pastries, QUALITY ingredients Cons: None -- it's on the pricey side but you get what you pay for
