Review content:
KISMA is that ever-elusive salon/spa that combines high end professional services with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. No snotty, pink-haired, fashionista types here, AMEN! From the front desk staff who greeted me warmly (offering wine, lemonade, herbal tea and appetizers) to the floating massage therapist who gave me a free hand massage while I waited (I guess this is their standard procedure? Not sure.)--the experience at this Aveda salon is centered on relaxation. The service was stellar--a long, luxurious scalp massage complete with relaxing oils and aromatics and products specifically chosen for my hair type replaced the run-of-the-mill shampoo experience I had been getting at my old salon. Sage, the stylist who cut my hair, was pleasant and accommodating and listened to what I WANTED instead of pushing me to change my style or do something I wasnt comfortable with. She actually took the time to teach me how to fix my hair at home and how to use products so I could recreate the look myself. Upon checking out, the front desk staff genuinely asked if I was happy with my service, and if my expectations had been met. My questioins about products were answered with detailed knowledge. What a wonderful experience!
Pros: Great low key atmosphere, and they spoil you!
