Review content:
I had an bad experience with this office. He was nice enough but everything else was terrible.\r
I went to Dr. Meltzer for pelvic pain. He seemed frazzled and distracted, barely looking at me. Someone interrupted us to ask why he was ordering tests that he'd already ordered for a patient. He asked her what was wrong with the woman, even though I believe he'd just seen her (and I think it was unprofessional to discuss it in front of me).\r
During the exam people were knocking on the door while I had my feet in the stir-ups! He barely examined me (I guess you'd call it gentle) and claimed he found nothing out of the ordinary. He told me nothing, just said to have an ultrasound (which they don't do). \r
The woman who took my samples for lab work told me they were out of certain tubes so they had to do it another way (out of supplies?). \r
I was in there for 3 hours to give samples, a history and have a 5-10 min. exam. On the way out a office worker was loudly discussing late term abortions with a patient on the phone and even mentioned the patient's name.\r
A lady called me with my lab results. She could not pronounce or spell the bacteria I had and didn't seem to want to go into detail (""you know, a uti? like its totally common!"" - well the bacteria I had is NOT common and dangerous). The prescription he ordered can be very dangerous to liver patients (he knew I was one) so I called to talk to him and they told me he NEVER calls patients. I said I didn't want to talk to his assistant because of my previous convo. Well too bad. I said I wouldn't be back, they did not care.\r
\r
I called to get a hard copy of my results and the lady was really rude, told me I had to come in sign releases and PAY FOR THEM- starting at $25, then per page. They charge even to fax them to another doctor! She said they were allowed to - well, just because you CAN doesn't mean you should.\r
\r
I reported them to the insurance co. they were NOT happy. And Quest Labs is faxing my results to me for FREE.
Cons: charges for records even to other dr.s, rude unprofessional staff, lack of follow up and info
