Review content:
I grew up in San Angelo and just came back to visit for Christmas with my wife, who’s from Dallas. We were looking for somewhere to go for a date, so we wanted good atmosphere and good food, and Cork and Pig satisfied. The waiter was very knowledgeable and when I asked for his suggestions he walked through each section and told me his favorites.\r \r I ended up getting the crab cakes, which were among the best I’ve ever had anywhere. Also, the peanut cole slaw it came with was really great. My wife had the spaghetti and meatballs, which had a nice little kick to it. The desserts looked amazing, but we didn’t have any room in our stomachs left. Also, we didn't get it, but the pork chops looked phenomenal and huge, with some delicious sauce drizzled on top. It's probably what I'll get next time.\r \r Overall, it only took one night for this place to jump to the top of my list as my favorite San Angelo restaurant. The food was amazing, the location is great (on Knickerbocker near the stadium), and the atmosphere was perfect for a date. It even had a nice outdoor patio that we’ll probably utilize if we’re back when it’s not winter. I hope people support it so that I can come back next time I’m in town.
