Review content:
I'm usually quite suspicious of fusion places- the seemingly interesting explosion of flavors leads to confusion afterwards, I can never remember what I ate and if that was good (Chubo for instance). But Chance is a more comfort-food approach to fusion. The flavors are nicely balanced but strong enough to be discerned in each dish. While the menu reads almost completely ""Chinese"", the spices and mild flavors are French. There are also Thai and Indian influences (the delicoius seafood pancakes with curry). Dim Sum (which were served piping hot) standouts are scallop with mushroom, sea bass with carrot, lobster with spinach and goat cheese. Even the green tea and deserts (spring roll banana, creme brule) are great. And if not for dinner, drinks here are pretty good either.
Pros: food, ambience, desert
Cons: none so far
