That rating is for Amad's cut and color. He's one of the best! This rating also chooses to ignore the waxing services - please do not go here for waxing. You will be so sorry if you do.
I started seeing the stylist Maria here about 4 years ago maybe.... she was ok and I stopped going until I got a Groupon for a haircut and bikini wax. (To her credit, Amad asserts she's improve a lot over the years).
Upon my return, I had my first cut with Amad. HE DID SUCH A GREAT JOB. First of all, he talked me into blond highlights instead of my usual ""it's approaching fall and I need to go goth girl"" habit, and I really loved it. Who'd a thunk?
Secondly, he respected my wishes to not go super layer-y (my life's struggle has been against hair dressers who want to put a million long layers in my hair). The end product looked fabulous and grew out beautifully. I didn't need to cut it for 5 months! Dare I say it was the BEST HAIRCUT I'VE EVER HAD? [but seriously, minus 1 star for the price. I know he's the salon owner, but hot damn that was expensive]
The bikini wax, on the other hand, did not go over so smoothly. It was my first time (regular, NOT brazilian thank goodness).. it was painful... there was blood... there was a lack of clotting... she was not apologetic about it... yikes).
The moral of the story is this: be sure they only handle the hair on your head. Then you will be very happy.
