Review content:
We ate at Scarlatto on July 25th before seeing a Broadway play. The restaurant was full and it is no wonder because the food is excellent and the prices are very reasonable. We were seated quickly. Drinks were so-so and the service was inconsistent with long waits between courses. Our server forgot a drink order. Breads were great. Our salads with pear and gorgonzola were tasty and well-made. Our entrees of veal saltimbocca and soft-shell crabs were first-rate. Most entrees are priced at $20 or less. We had Panna Cotta for dessert which we liked. Service issues aside, it is a wonderful place to dine. Pros: prices, quality and presentation of food, location in heart of theater district Cons: inconsistent service, noisy
