Review content:
went into the GCHS today and found a dog I adored. She was the right size weighing only 15-20lbs. and 5 years old. When I went to the front to inquire about her they informed me the fee to adopt her was $150.00. I was shocked to say the least. The dog was not only older and a mutt but she didnt weigh much at all. It was crazy they wanted that much to adopt her out. Their website says the prices on adoptions for dogs vary from weight but when I called the society they claimed the website was wrong and thats a good deal here in South Texas. Which the guy was wrong because I adopted my other dog in San Antonio and it was only $50.00. I believe this organization is fixed on making money and not in fact focused on finding these dogs a good home. Its very sad. I even called the director Denise and she not only hung up on me several times but became very irate when I questioned the price of the adoption fees. This place is horrible and I would not recommend adopting from here. The staff is rude and unpleasant. Pros: Cute Dogs Cons: $150 dollars to adopt a 18lb. dog & Director Denise was rude
