I have very high standards when it comes to Italian food, and Porcelli's met every one of them! My husband and I tried it simply because it was close, and have returned because we love it! It is my new favorite place to eat! Each time we went, there were very few people in the restaurant, there was no wait, we got to choose our own table, the chef came to discuss meal choices with us, and more. The happy hour prices are great for both food and drinks, which is not true of many places in Portland. The drinks are strong and delicious, and the house-made Limoncello is great! The bruschetta, which is very affordable, especially at happy hour, is absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the lobster ravioli! I also had another delicious dish that I can't remember the name of, something along the lines of chicken sauteed with pancetta. Delicious! The staff is always so helpful and attentive, they are very friendly and stop by to see if there's anything you need frequently. The restaurant is quiet and the tables are well-spaced out so that you are not disturbed by other diners if you want a private chat. The only downside to the place is that it's a little expensive for my price range, but then, most places are these days! I absolutely love Porcelli's and would go there on a weekly basis if I could afford it! I strongly urge you to give it a try! Pros: Amazing food, attentive staff, delicious drinks, & more! Cons: I can't afford to go every day!
