Review content:
I visited Bygones on a few occasions and have always been annoyed with the owner and saleslady in the shop. I've never been bothered enough to actually write a review about it though. However, I recently visited to look for a few pieces of furniture and couldn't believe the blatant snobbery and attitude that I was greeted with. When I arrived the owner eyed me as I walked in, saying nothing and leaving a large scowl on her face. I shopped in the store for awhile, taking my time, and crossing her path a few times. Every time we would cross in the store, I would try to smile at her and at least acknowledge her presence (we were within feet of each other). She wanted nothing to do with me and I almost felt bad that I was in her store. I finally said hello, hating that I was within feet of this woman and she was just staring at me, and all she said was, ""you need something..."" in a smug voice. At this point I decided to leave, because even if I did find something I would not buy it from this person. I thanked her as I walked out of the store and again she refused to even respond or acknowledge me being there. She turned her back and walked off. I know she has been in business for a long time, but I truly don't understand how.
Pros: a few nice pieces of furniture
Cons: terribly rude owner
