Damiano pizza is like most reviewers say: the best NY pizza in LA BUT a lot of good things in this world arrive at a steep price. The prices are a little exhorbitant, the wait is nearly unbearable and make sure you don't order during a low-bloodsugar attack because you will keel. Also, the manager is not very nice-- I saw him ordering around his delivery people like he was the dictator of a 3rd world country, it was a little infuriating, but I stayed and waited 20 minutes, for a slice of NY style cheese pizza anyways (I hope that doesn't make me a bad person...). I also have never wanted to eat inside the restaurant, as it is dark and loud and a little scary (I usually order it to go and sit on a curb in a peace). Yes, this is a guilty, dirty pleasure and they do have an excellent beverage assortment and the cannoli isn't bad either.
