Four years ago Dr. Vu came highly recommended by a friend who had had her upper eye lids done. Given the fact that she is Vietnamese and she looks absolutely fabulous, I decided to consult with Dr. Vu. I live in Austin Texas and Dr. Vu is located in Sugarland, Texas near Houston, Sugarland is located 3 hours away from where I live. Since I was so impressed with my friends results I schedule an appointment and met with Dr. Vu, 2 weeks later. I decided to proceed with getting my upper eye lids done. I was incredibly satisfied with my results, especially when I met with a friend who has had her eye lids done two weeks prior; she seemed very bruised and swollen. I had none of this. As a matter of fact, my procedure was done 2 weeks before Thanksgiving and my family never even noticed.I had never really considered any facial procedures, however, with aging gravity takes its toll with wrinkles, jowls and the sagging in the neck area, so I did some research on plastic surgeons in the Austin area (since Dr. Vu 3 hours away,) I resolved to consult with a plastic surgeon which would be convenient for us to travel to. I found a plastic surgeon is a specialist in facial procedures only in the Austin area. I had a consultation with him and I did not feel confident to the answers he would provide, and I felt rushed. I left this plastic surgeon office and in the car I called Dr. Vu. I spoke with Debbie, and she actually remembered me from 4 years ago. I made an appointment and a few weeks later I made the 3 trip to Sugarland to meet with Dr. Vu. He was candid with me. He told me I would be swollen, I would have some bruising and all the things associated with a mini face lift. Dr. Vu was full disclosure. The doctor I had consulted with in Austin had indicated that he had patients that were out and about the next day. I suppose the Austin plastic surgeon would only tell you the truth about how youll look and feel after you put a deposit down and then there is no turning back. Dr. Vu recommended a full face lift and after some consideration, my husband and I decided it would be the better then a mini. The surgery went well, and even though I had to go back and forth to Sugarland, I am extremely happy with the result even though its only been 2 weeks. I was not concerned when I saw or felt something out of the originally since Dr. Vu had explained everything that I would experience. Knowing what to expect made the experience better for me. On my last follow up with Dr. Vu, I asked him about getting my under eyes done, he looked and said. You don't need it, and I won't do surgery when it's not necessary.""The trip from our house to Houston is long, so if you live in Houston, consider yourself lucky that you have Dr. Vu close by. If you live further away, the trip to Houston is well worth the expertise you will undoubtedly receive from Dr. Vu. I cant believe friends and co-workers reactions to the fantastic results I received, after just two weeks. I am still a bit swollen but I have had so many compliments on how good I looked that I began to wonder why I waited so long to do it in the first place. If you feel like looking your best, go to Dr. Vu. And I guarantee you will not be disappointed. He definitely has a ""Magic Wand"".
