Review content:
I had a very bad experience at Millis that left my dog blind. The vets cared about us, but my dog's illness stumped them. The confusion led to unnecessary surgery for what was thought to be a stomach blockage, and my dog woke up from the surgery blind. He actually had meningitis and his inflamed meninges combined with the shock of surgery to his weakened system destroyed his optic nerve. All he needed was Prednisone, but he didn't get it in time. My dog is like a best friend to me and I kick myself all the time for signing his surgery waiver. This happened a year ago and I still wish I could go back in time and reverse it. I would suggest that if you need a diagnosis for your pet, get him straight to a specialist like Veterinary Specialty Services. Otherwise, if you know what your pet needs and want affordable and caring service, Millis is good. A side note...If your pet is battling a mystery ailment, have your vet check for meningitis. My dog saw four vets and only the specialist realized he had all the symptoms of meningitis, which can be very treatable if you don't waste time and catch it ASAP. Pros: Caring staff
