Finding the right surgeon is key, but his support staff is equally important. I picked the doc based on his exceptional qualifications, however, the experience with his staff was far from pleasant. I was assured there was no consultation fee and confirmed my appointment. As I was sitting in the office waiting to see the doc, Ms. Karen Ivy (staff) told me that unless I paid the fee, he would not be able to see me. I tried to tell her that I was informed that there would be no fee, but it fell on deaf ears. After returning home and confirming through past emails that there was no consultation fee, I called the office back. It was not until this time that Ms. Ivy wanted to ""reconcile"" their mistake and see me. She should have reconciled the situation WHILE I was there sitting in the office and not later when I have already returned home. I not only wasted my time and parking money to see the doctor, the experience was so offensive that I had to write this blog to warn others. Having a pleasant and professional staff is an important part of having surgery because they are the ones you see before and after. I would not recommend his services to others. Cons: Parking and unpleasant staff
