Businiess name:  Mellie Hair Salon
Review by:  citysearch c.
Review content:
Man does Mellie know hair. She is one very talented gal!\r \r I went prematurely gray at the age of 16 and have been coloring my hair for the past 15 years. I ve moved cities twice in the past 5 years (to DC and back to Boston recently) and have had some seriously traumatic hair experiences in trying to find the right colorist.\r \r With that said, I came back to Boston about two months ago, and went back to my old colorist. He dyed my roots too dark, didn t pull the color through my entire head so I looked like a calico kitten. Then to fix the botched dye job (which was also done poorly) I was charged $400. Horrific.\r \r I found Mellie Salon through a combo of Yahoo/Citysearch/YELP, and figured going to Mellie was worth a shot. She listened to my concerns, and was upfront about both the price and look of what she was going to do to fix my motley colored head. She did a beautiful job on the color, and after the color, she cut my hair, and sometimes getting the cut is scarier than the color, because I think it much harder to fix if done wrong. Mellie cut the hair the best it s ever been cut, she s a master...I love it! She is funny, honest, professional, and excellent at her job.\r \r My highlights, single process, and a glaze, and haircut + style cost $265 which I thought would be an impossibility in the Boston area...\r Love this salon and found my new hair home!
