Businiess name:  Shorty's Barber Shop

Review content:
My fiance needed to get a haircut. He has curly hair, so it requires skills to cut his hair. I found Shorty's to have good review on citysearch, so I told him about it. I called ahead to put his name on the list and told the person on the phone that we needed someone who was good with cutting curly hair for men. When we got there, they gave him Maria, who is a really sweet 23-year-old girl, but completely inexperienced. She did not do whatever he instructed her to do like not cutting too much off on top. She made his hair uneven around the crown. The haircut was $23, and out of pity for a young girl, my fiance still gave her $5 in tip, so she probably had no idea he hated his haircut. When we got back to the car, I asked him how he liked the cut, and he said he was angry that he got a hatchet job. He said he cringed every time she started to cut his hair as he could see she was taking out too much. If you want to insist on trying Shorty's, you should ask for an experienced barber. Avoid Maria or any other like her like the plague. I have nothing against Maria, and like I said before, she was very pleasant and sweet. However, who wants to get a bad haircut in exchange of having some small talk with a sweet girl? Not me! I will never try Shorty's since I don't want to get a butcher job. It might not be fair for the rest of the barbers there, but when you don't know who to pick, and you can't make an appointment, then you're at Shorty's mercy. They might give you someone who is really bad, and then your hair pays the price. Men's hair is not as bad since men have to get a cut every 3 weeks anyway, but for women's hair, a bad butcher cut will result in 3 months of bad hair days. Yikes! By the way, so many people recommended Travis on here, but I found out that if you want to have Travis cut your hair, it will cost $100. For him, you can make an appointment.
