Don't park at the Gateway to go to events held at the Energy Solutions Area. We parked and ate at The Gateway before going to the Harlem Globetrotters on Feb. 11th and got parking validations to lessen the expense. When we tried to leave the Winter parking garage we were told that the exit closest to us was not open for exit unless we paid the attendant $5.00. If we wanted to use our parking validations we were told that we had to go to another exit where there was a 45 minute wait. It felt like a scam and that we were being held as a sort of hostage if we were unwilling to pay. Why can't they open that exit after events as a convenience to customers and take parking validations there as well? I will probably NOT park and eat there again before events. This mean policy will prevent people like me from eating in the Gateway establishments before events. There are parking lots closer to the arena that charge the same $5 and have better exit access and you can eat anywhere you want. Pros: Mean parking policies
