I had a pretty unpleasant experience here. I have an old diamond that has been in my family for generations and my fiance and I were looking for a setting to use as an engagement ring. When we showed the diamond to one of the store owners, he suggested that it was too small and told us it had some ""pretty nasty flaws"" in it. Although it's true the diamond has some barely visible chips, it felt like this salesman was trying to make us feel inadequate in order to pressure us into buying a bigger diamond. He told me, ""when your girlfriends see this diamond, they're going to have some pretty ugly things to say about it."" When we told him the diamond had sentimental value, he basically said it was more important for my ring to have monetary value. I would definitely not recommend this jeweler.
