It has been years since my first slice. I remember it as though it were yesterday. Fancy words do not paint the tapestry sufficiently to share what a culinary delight this pie is to me.
The winning elements are all presented in this stuffed crust pizza. The basic formula for pizza; Crust+Sauce+Cheese+Toppings=Pizza
However, Giordano's ascends to the outerlimits of what great pizza is all about. Toppings are a matter of taste for most. However, the foundation on which they are placed is typically a common element. Giordano's created a crust that delights the pallet, a sauce that compliments any combination of toppings (Stuffings), and encased it all together to form what is the greatest pizza that has ever caused me to salivate at the mention of it.
