This little take-out place (well, they do have *some* seating if you want to eat in) is tucked away on Weathersfield Road, just off Route 9 Westbound (it's the last right before you get to Route 27). The quality of the food is terrific and some of the prices are surprisingly good. I mean, where else can you get a really good Chicken Parm dinner (with pasta and bread) for only $6.75? Their tomato sauce is very fresh/homemade tasting and the chicken portion is generous.\r \r Other standouts include their\r * calzones -- all include mozzarella and ricotta cheese and then you pick how many and which additional fillers you want....my husband likes the anchovy calzone (ick!), while my favorite is spinach and eggplant\r * ""Italian 2"" sandwich, made with Genoa salami, prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, tomato, olive oil & oregano and optional roasted red peppers (definitely go with those!), and\r * New-York-style pizza.\r \r They have lots of interesting specialty sandwiches, all made with Boar's Head meat and a lovely sesame-seed-studded sub roll reminiscent of scali bread. (There's only one size of sub, which I would classify as ""medium."") I've tried several different ones and never been disappointed. They also have a fair number of pasta dinners and chicken diners (besides the chicken parm). The salads are so-so and there aren't really any dessert options (outside of the prepackaged Peggy Lawton cookies and brownies), but, otherwise, this place is a real gem!\r \r (Note: They're closed on Sundays during the summer.) Pros: Great food, reasonable prices, good selection. They offer delivery (I've never tried it though). Cons: Not much in the way of dessert options; very warm during the summer (but it's really primarily a takeout place anyway).
