I am saddended to see so many unhappy reviews for this place. I love it very much and have for decades. I love the Ikura, and the Shigiyaki. I like all theirs rolls, sashimi pieces, and sushi. - and the yellowtail is always very delicious. I have had some very memorable toro over the years there too. I love the guys, when you get one of the old faces especially. I like the owners, the mom and the son, - although I haven't been there as frequently as I used to, and haven't seen the mother in my visits over the past couple of years. The prices is high, - but that applies to so much of NYC, so I don't hold it against them. It's just less affordable in this bad economic climate. As far a civility, I have always loved it, and think I always will.
