Review content:
Just returned from Tommy Doyles in Harvard square. What an evening my wife, friends and I had. We're all on the older side of our 40's and i was a touch reserved about attending a restaurant our daughter had recommended. We walked into a cozy main floor, with dozens of pictures of ireland adorning the walls, shelves of bits and pieces and irsh folk music playing lightly in the back ground we were promptly seated by Eric (great guy full of chat). We went through a huge menu of all types of items while Eric got our drinks and he recomended the baked haddock, he had us sold. it was mouth watering, fantastic, wonderfull words can't describe it. It would beat the socks of l egal seafoods any day. Peter (who we later discovered was the overall General Manager of the group) was passing and asked how were we finding our meal, he stood there with us for 20 mins chatting about Ireland and what he thought of Boston. Haven't met such a savvy guy in years. He suggested we go upstairs for the game, my godness the place was huge. A huge screen greeted us and to my suprise plasma's and smaller tv's dotted the adjoining walls. Peter slipped us guys over a pint of murphys which he claimed is the real stout of ireland and popped 2 ""dirty Irishmen"" over to the ladies. The night progressed magnificently, even when the dj started we whirled the dance floor. I would highly recommend this location for anyone, young and old this establishment will go on for years and i assure you will become a land mark in Harvard square very very soon. Streets ahead of anything or anywhere we've been in years. Thanks again guys. We'll see you soon, this time we'll bring the whole family in. Pros: 5 star food, 5 star service, fantastic atmosphere Cons: no valet parking
