Review content:
After leaving the Hawaiian BBQ we ran out in the rain splashing in puddles and dodging cars in the parking lot to drive over to Happy Ending. Since it was right behind the place we had just been at we'd figure it would be a cinch to park and what not. It wasn't, there was valet here so rather than try to circle the block and avoid rush hour traffic we just valet'd. It was like 3.50 (remember this). We go inside and it's a New York style bar, with TV's at every booth.. I mean literally tv's over my head and gf's head and so on and so forth at every booth.. nice! My team the Knick's were on the tube but lost to the Cav's. Fans were cheering. We checked out the menu and I tried the Mahi Mahi fish tacos. This was a bad idea as I'm so used to the killer Mahi's at South Beach in OB that these didn't fare well in comparison. GF got the chicken spring rolls and I traded some of my tacos for her spring rolls. I drank a couple of Racer 5's and she had a bud light. The atmosphere is more enjoyable than the food is and I can see some good drinking time being done here. They had a spin the wheel game for drink specials... plenty of space for many guests, lots of TV's for sports, and Johnny on the spot servers. I do recommend this place for drinks after work or as a starter for a crawl along the strip...... in the end... you'll be happy, except when we got outside and the valet price had gone up to 4.75. Another couple apparently was familiar with their shenanigans as they joked about it as they arrived. I said document the current price as when you get out it's gonna be different, laughed and sped off to sweet home San Diego.
