Review content:
The person who wrote the other review must have been having a really bad day. I've been to most every antique shop in the city and this is one of the best.
She has wonderful period pieces that are all in good condition, authentic and very fairly priced.
The decorative arts pieces are particularly affordable and the furniture is expensive because fine antique furniture is expensive but it is not overpriced. The prices in this shop are unbelievably fair to some places I can show you only a stones throw away.
It is obvious that Chairman has no eye for excellence, no taste for the simple beauty of English period furniture and no knowledge of the true value of these furnishings that the lady travels abroad to buy and have shipped back. As for Ms. Kelley, she was very polite and helpful --even though I came in at 15 minutes before closing. I saw several more pieces that I plan to return for -- fabulous collection.
Something tells me that there is another side to the story of this encounter -- it is my experience that, in most cases, people treat others pretty much in accord to how they have been treated -- especially someone who has been in business 30 years or so.
I highly recommend Sherry Kelley's Antiques -- fine antiques at a great value -- I will return -- often.
