Review content:
This is a small family-based business owned and run by Charlie and his wife Sophia. I agree with the previous reviewer that this isn't the cleanest place to have your car repaired; but I'm not interested in how fancy or clean a place is; I want good service and fair costs. Charlie works on the cars himself and his time and money isn't devoted to creating a beautiful shop - it is to provide good workmanship at a more than reasonable cost. I have been going to Downtown Transmission for years (two different cars) and have never been disappointed. To me it is worth waiting a little for the money I save.
Pros: Good workmanship; reasonable costs
Cons: Might have to wait a little longer for repairs
