Review content:
I'm a long time fan of Jusco. I stumbled in one day while back in college when I decided the wait at Fugi's was too obscene (and that it would be time for dinner before I got seated for lunch!). I was pleasantly surprised and became an instant convert. Those who lambaste Jusco just don't know how great it really can be. The staff is fast and friendly. The rolls are super tasty and the selection of fish, especially for dinner, is really quite good (it's been awhile since I've been there for lunch so I'm not as familiar with their lunch menu). Sure people line up at Fuji's down the street but that's only because they are following the crowds and don't know how great a deal and how wonderful a find Jusco really is. How good is it? Since graduating and moving out of Davis I still come back into town just to eat at Jusco. I would recommend this place to anyone who loves sushi buffets and hates waiting to be seated.
Pros: Great selection of fish, fast service, tasty rolls (nigiri), and super friendly staff.
Cons: Sometimes parking is a mess and sometimes the wasabi could be spicier.
