It's apparent by comments here, and my own experience, that home warranty callouts are handled negligently. The technician, Kyle, showed up late and with an attitude. He misdiagnosed the water heater problem saying that a coil on the bottom of the unit had to be replaced and that the unit had to be turned on its side and there was no room in the attic to do so and yada, yada, yada, they called the Warranty Company and refused to service it! The next day I called the water heater manufacturer myself, who diagnosed the problem and over the phone walked me through how to find and push the reset button. My husband did so without any problem. Voila, hot water! DNB techs don't know Jack! Cons: Not knowledgeable of what they work on; arrogant attitude; wouldn't return phone calls
