Review content:
I took my car to Wihl's for an oil change. He said he'd call me when it was done. No call. So, I called three hours later and he gets snippy and asks me where I was. He brings my car around and tells me that I had a busted CV joint. I'm already not in a trusting mood because of the way he is talking down to me. I ask him to point out the problem to me. He is able to. I ask him how much it is going to cost me to fix it. My $20 oil change turns into a $220 bill. He says that he is actually doing me a favor by knocking $40 off the cost of labor. The overcharged me for the parts. I would know..I checked. He tells me to come back again at 4:30pm. At 4:30pm I go back. One of the employees brings my car around. He had found a ""NEW"" problem with my car. He told me that I needed to replace my rear coil springs around the struts on my car's back tires. He told me that it would cost me $400 for the parts and another $200 for the labor... putting my bill at over $800. At that point... I lost my patience and caught on to his game. What he didnt know was that I had helped put my car together...and I know for a fact that my rear coil springs were in tip top shape. So...I politely told him...Thanks but NO thanks..... I'll pay the $200...and leave. He tried a whole bunch of scare tactics on me. Telling me that ""Your car isn't going to make it home."" and ""Your springs are going to pop out on the highway and leave you stranded"" and ""Okkk, but you are making a big mistake by ignoring this today"". So......after i paid my bill and got home I looked online to price the parts that he COULD have sold me. The parts were only worth $75 a piece -tops. On top of all of this....My Ipod is now missing from my bookbag that was in my trunk. It was foolish of me to leave it in there..... but it was also foolish of me to thing that a small business would be an honest business. NEVER AGAIN. Please, don't make my same mistake.
Pros: close by
Cons: The Owner, The Staff, The Service. The business?
